Implementation of Labor Law:
The Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments inspects the labor law and its rules through regular meeting inspection, re-inspection, motivation with the employers and workers representatives to create awareness about labor law. Our achievements in implementing labor law:
A) Inspection activities: In the financial year 2017-18, a total of 1827 factories were inspected by the Department, which is the target of the APA target (1800) for the fiscal year.
B) Savings Meeting: According to the APA of FY2017-18, there were targets for conducting 30 summit meetings. In order to create awareness about labor law, a total of 47 initiatives were organized in the Fiscal year with the owners and workers representatives.
C) Factory registration / licensing: Regarding the implementation of the Bangladesh Labor Act, 2006 and Bangladesh Labor Rules, 2015 in various factories, commerce and industrial establishments and shops of Jashore, Magura, Jhenaidah and Narail districts through regular inspection, re-inspection, all the factories of this department are already under labor law. Has been registered. Jashore district has received the total registration under 1643 shops and factories and organizations. In the fiscal year 2017-18, a total of 654 factories were brought under the control of the APA target (400).
D. Revenue collection: The license of this office from various factories, establishments and shops, and the total license renewal fee for the transfer of 24,74,926 rupees (twenty-four lakhs of twenty-four lakhs of twenty-four hundred and seventy-six hundred rupees) by collecting the TRB money collected in public treasury. Has been there.
E) Child labor emancipation in the risky sector: Among the 38 risk-prone sectors announced by the government, work is going on in the unemployed, engineering workshops, auto mobile workshops and child labor work in the construction sector.
F) Factory compliance confirmation: The department has been working regularly to create a good working environment for improving the productivity of the factory. Various factories and organizations, including the inspection, re-inspection and inspection meetings, have been established in 19 factories in the past.
G) Safety Committee constitutions: In order to ensure the structural, fire and electrical safety of factories and institutions, following the provisions of the Labor Act, Safety Committees have been constituted in 09 factories / establishments of the respective factories and the workers of the respective factories and organizations. In addition, activities are being continued to ensure the professional health and safety and welfare of workers in the workplace.
H) Minimum wage implementation: Minimum wage implementation period continuously announced for the workers working in different industrial sectors by the wage board. The minimum wage payment has been confirmed in all factories and institutions receiving registration from this office.
I) Removal of labor dissatisfaction: measures have been taken to ensure the legal demands and payment of timely payments to the workers working in different factories. Regular communication with the owners and workers / workers representatives, industrial police and various intelligence agencies of the government has been maintained through the control room set up at the office to collect information for any labor unrest. Therefore, it has been possible to make the production of factory factory uninterrupted as a result of any incidents of labor unrest in a factory or establishment under the jurisdiction of the office.
J) Check distribution of labor welfare fund: Checks for financial donation of workers' welfare fund of Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Foundation under the Ministry of Labor and Employment are distributed among the deceased, helpless workers and their dependents, particularly those working in different sectors, who were killed or wounded in working hours in different factories and establishments. Apart from this, the education of scholarship has been distributed from the fund to ensure the education of meritorious children of the poor and helpless workers. Since the last few financial years, financial donations have been provided to 75 persons in various 75 different checks of 42,50,000 / - (forty thousand fifty thousand).
